Help!  is a warm-up exercise designed to help students express themselves more physically and vocally. It is also a vocal projection exercise. This is a collection of messages suitable for use with this exercise.

DRAMATIC TENSIONS

Dramatic tensions are the engine of any successful drama. Students need to know and understand how to utilise the various tensions that exist within a scene. This handout outlines the basic dramatic tensions.

NEUTRAL SCENES

Neutral scenes allow students to explore the same piece of text with different motivations, moods, characters, situations, relationships.

TONGUE TWISTERS

Tongue Twisters are great exercises to develop good articulation and ensure clarity in speech.

SHAKESPEAREAN INSULTS

These are insults selected from a variety of Shakespeare plays. They should be used with senior students as warm-up exercise before work on script.

ROLES

These are a collection of different roles that can be cut out of the downloaded sheet and handed to students as stimulus for scene play.

SCENE STARTERS

These are introductory lines for scenes. The sheet can be downloaded and the scene starters cut into strips to be handed to students as stimulus for scenes.

These are introductory lines to improvised stories. They can be downloaded, cut into strips and handed to students as stimulus for story telling.
